Color Consult

Color matters.  Color defines us.  The “right” color can bring an inner sense of peace and order to a room or home.  The "right” color can stimulate.  The “wrong” color or combination of colors can invoke a feeling of imbalance or chaos.  When Pam consults with a client on color she may use colors from a favorite rug or painting in a room.  Or she may use colors from nature to enhance a piece of furniture or sculpture in a room. The end result is a harmonious feeling throughout the space.

Pam's services include, but are not limited to: Space Planning, Furniture, Fabrics, Finishes, Lighting, and Window Treatments. Each client has individual needs and wants.  She begins by asking questions and working through the design process with each client step by step.  This is definitely a collaboration between the designer and the client as they ultimately must live in the space for years to come.

Pam has been asked by several clients to design custom pieces for their homes.  There has been some odd corner in a master bedroom that Pam designed a custom desk/shelving unit for, the corner in a kitchen that a custom banquette fit in perfectly and a custom cabinet that housed specific media components.  The process is collaborative and in the end the client has exactly the style, size and finish that they wanted.

One of Pam's greatest strengths is in the area of project management.  Pam strongly believes in thoughtfully listening to the needs and desires of the client, taking this understanding and putting it into written form and reviewing this with the client.  If both agree, a proposal based on this letter of understanding and scope of work to be performed is sent to the client. If the scope of work includes project management, be assured that you will have a turn-key project with involvement by you, only if you desire.

I have known Pam Hinz-Nicholson for several years as a friend and business colleague. When my firm needed assistance with interior design and decorating, it was an easy decision to engage Pam to lead the effort.
